What is a blepharoplasty?

A blepharoplasty is a surgery that looks for eye rejuvenation, it extracts the fat, the skin and muscle excess in the lids. The blepharoplasty does not eliminate the wrinkles around the eyes.

The blepharoplasty is done in the operating room with local anesthesia, is not necessary to stay in the clinic for more than a couple of hours.

Who is the best candidate?

Generally, patients that have more than 35 years old.

People who look for an improvement in the way they lids looks; people with skin excess on the upper lids.

People who have:

What do I have to do before the treatment?

If you smoke, you have to stop smoking at least one month before. Also, a month before you have to stop the aspirins and Vitamin E.

How long is the recovery time?

The person can go home a couple of hours later, with the face a little swollen.

But the recovery after the procedure, it takes around 15 days, and the result can be seen after the first month.

Remember that you have to use sunblock.
